Doctor Henry Jekyll explains that in his early age, he was a fun-loving man but at the same time he was a serious, hard-working doctor. So he learned to keep his two lives separated. He was sure that everyone has two sides of character. So he though that it would be a great idea to separate these two characters. He found out a potion which could transform him into another person, Mr Hyde. But one day he needed so desperately to get free, that he drank the poison again. Mr Hyde went mad and he even murdered Mr Carew. After that, he started to change whenever Mr Hyde wanted to. Mr Hyde had became stronger than Dr Jekyll. That was when he decided to contact Dr Lanyon, who never believed in his experiments. The horror on Dr Lanyon's face made Dr Jekyll realise that the problem was worst, and he tried to change his feelings, but it was too late because Mr Hyde took his body whenever he wanted. Dr Jekyll wouldn't return any more.
